Cats
Cats have been an interest and love of mine since I was very young. Cat lovers will of
course understand some of the reasons why, so I won't elaborate here.
Currently I have two cats - a male cream Burmese called Osher and a female grey Singapura called
Nimue. Both are very different cats in more than just colour and looks. They are not allowed to roam unsupervised
outside.
There is also a black unneutered tomcat called Phoenix who hangs around my garden - he belongs
to a neighbour and eats a lot at my place. When we first moved in he sometimes ate two sachets of wet food or
more a day, plus premium dried food. He is allowed to roam free 24 hours a day, is not allowed inside by his
owners and sometimes sleeps in a covered area at the side of my house.
After we moved in, a new cat arrived in the neighbourhood - Joey - a dark brown
Burmese male. Joey is "portly" and used to eat too much - he started off by sneaking over here to
steal Phoenix's dried cat food which is usually always available. I can understand why, because it is very nice
premium food. We used to hear cat fights as Phoenix defended his "territory" against Joey. These days, Joey often
makes himself at home on the couch and sleeps all day. He is such a "loafer". Nowadays,
Phoenix occasionally grumbles at Joey, however the fights have come to an end - it seems I have
managed to broker some sort of peace deal! Our cats get along with Joey and are becoming closer. Poor old
Phoenix (who belongs to a neighbour) has to stay out in the cold of winter because he would spray if allowed
inside.

Where possible I purchase my cat food and relevant supplies from my vet; Gold Coast Vet Surgery. It is not always convenient however partly because I live in a
different suburb over the other side of town from my vet. (He is so good I go out of my way to ensure my cats
get the best care, rather than attend a closer vet).
I get some of my supplies from the people below who deliver to my PO Box. I can order online too,
which is very convenient.
Vet Products Direct Pet and Animal Products -- Dr. Michael Shaw and his team of Veterinarians
and Veterinary Nurses supply all your professional pet product needs, as well as a huge array of accessories, at
good prices. Their short delivery time makes it even more convenient to buy online.
Frontline Plus, Advantix, Sentinel Spectrum and Sashas Blend, you name it, they have it. Why not
get your Pet Food as well, its easier than carrying 20kg bags from the supermarket or pet store.
So save time and money. Click here to go to Vet Products Direct now.
I highly recommend it and first started buying from them years ago. And don't forget to register to get their 50
plus page colour catalogue home delivered. They also ship overseas.
Polapaws - Pet Treats & Quality Accessories. Lots of dog products, though I buy yummy
dried fish for one of cats - this dried Tuna treat is guaranteed 100% Australian. No preservatives, colours
or flavours are added to this product. Polapaws also sell dog sledding gear. I have received good, helpful &
prompt service.
